Washington, DC
Last summer Lauren came out to visit me, so this year I went to visit her in DC. Lucky me, another great friend from childhood, Fe, had also moved to the area recently, so we all got to goof off together for the week. Day 1 was fun at the zoo. (A free zoo? How could I resist?) Then we had museum day at the Natural History and American History Museums. Day 3, Lauren took me on her favorite local hike... and I approve. :) It was a lot of fun (and a lot easier than gaining elevation.) Matt came to town on day 4, and we wandered around the National Mall and some landmark buildings. I had no idea te Library of Congress would be so cool. (They even put my name on the ceiling!) IT should be a must on anyone's visit to DC. We had a bike tour of the major monuments scheduled, but it poured rain and the trip was cancelled. Maybe next time.
